  • September Athletes of the Month named - aom sept 15-sliderThe Poplar Bluff Mules Booster Club selected Girls Tennis star Stephanie Hobbs and Football quarterback Tristen Francisco as Athletes of the Month for September. A four-year letterman, Francisco has a career record of 79 completions and 1,489 yards with 137 attempts. The Poplar Bluff High School senior has 50 rushes for 273 yards, three touchdowns and five interceptions. In addition, he has thrown 19 touchdowns. According to head coach Mark Barousse, Francisco has a high IQ on the football field, with a 10.0 grade point average to boot. Hobbs, also a senior, has a 10-5 record in singles and 5-10 in doubles for the current season, while maintaining a 10.738 GPA in the classroom.   • May Athletes of the Month named - aom may sliderThe Poplar Bluff Mules Booster Club has named Girls Track & Field and Denzel Britton of Senior High the Athletes of the Month for May. The PBHS Lady Mules Track & Field team recently won the 2015 Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 4 Girls State Track & Field championship. Denzel Britton (front row), a senior, placed fourth in the 100-meter dash, sixth in the 4 x 100-meter relay and seventh in the 4 x 200-meter relay as an All-State runner. ### Cutline: (From left) Tehya Williams, Lexi Tinsley, Megan Knuckles, Cassidy Harris, Soley Webb, Jabreuna Brimlett, JJ Ellis, Lexi Hafford, Kaylee Eakin, Krisman Eakin and Katie Sliger.     Cassidy Harris honored as Scholar Athlete - 6a333187-75b0-42e2-8e9f-47a3dc671172Cassidy Harris was honored as a 2015 St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete at Tuesday’s St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs baseball game. She received the honor in a pre-game ceremony, along with 150 other St. Louis area Scholar Athletes.
  • You Gotta Believe! Baseball wins Conference Tourney - 0d35299f-4ef8-4125-a825-5d6cef8fcf9bVarsity Baseball won the SEMO Conference Tournament Championship, beating Notre Dame, 4-2.
