7/8 Grade Girls Basketball travel to Dexter. The 7th Grade game begins at 6:00pm.

In Cross Country Sectionals- Bailey Davidson finished 30th, qualifying for the Class 4 State Championship in Jeff City.

In the Class 3, District 1 Soccer Playoffs- the Mules lost to Jackson, 1-2 in overtime!

The Mules lost to Vianney in the first round of the Class 5, District 1 Playoffs. They still had a great season!

Soccer lost to Notre Dame, 0-2.

7th Grade Girls Basketball beat New Madrid, 35-3.
8th Grade Girls Basketball beat New Madrid, 47-4.

Class 3, District 1 Soccer Tournament – The Mules play Jackson on Saturday, October 27, at 12:00pm. The “host” school is Oakville in St. Louis.

Oct. 22

In the Class 4, District 1 Volleyball Tournament, Poplar Bluff defeated Jackson, 25-14, 21-25 and 25-14. The Mules will play for the Class 4, District 1 Championship versus Farmington on Wednesday at 6:00pm.

Soccer lost to Sikeston, 0-2.

7th Grade Girls Basketball lost to Doniphan, 17-50.
8th Grade Girls Basketball lost to Doniphan, 33-48.

Cross Country at the District Meet in Jackson:
Due to injuries two days before the District Meet, the girls were unable to compete as a team at Districts, so there is not a team score.
Girls Individual(top 30 move to Sectionals)
Allison Huskey- 13th.
Emma Cooper- 31st.
Cassidy Harris- 33rd.

Boys placed 5th as a team (they gave it a GREAT FIGHT!), top 4 teams advance to Sectionals as a team, as well as the top 30 individuals.
Isaiah Williams- 13th.

Luke Pelton- 19th.
Jacob Smith- 40th.
Mark Keena- 56th.

The Sho-Me Band finished seventh out of twenty-one Bands at the Park Hill Rebels Invitational.

Oct. 19

The Varsity Football Team lost to Chaminade in double overtime, 7-14.

Soccer beat Fredericktown, 2-1.

7th Grade Girls Basketball beat Cape, 39-2.
8th Grade Girls Basketball beat Cape, 38-26.

JV Volleyball beat Caruthersville, 25-18 and 25-11.
Varsity Volleyball beat Caruthersville, 25-2(Riley Sells had 21 serves in a row, scoring 20 points including 6 aces!) and 25-3.

Our ladies also raised over $9,000 for Cancer Research in their “Dig for Life” fund-raiser. GREAT JOB!!

The 9th Grade Volleyball Team went 5-0, winning the MICDS Tournament.

The JV Academic Team played in a 12-team tournament at Oakville HS in St. Louis on Saturday. Several of the top state contenders were there (Ladue, CBC, Parkway Central, and others).

The 10th grade team was 4 & 4 for the day. They were well represented by Brett Payne, Clayton Carpenter, Colton Carpenter, Jesus Zavala, Trevor Asher, and Dustin Cook.

The 9th grade team went 3 & 5 which is outstanding! They were represented by Maria Zavala, Taylor Duncan, Diego Rivetti, Chang Chi, Ethan Glick, and Jackson Rideout who was 8th overall for individual scoring at the end of pool play.

Please congratulate all of them on a job very well done!

Both Varsity teams took third.
Boys team was only 9 point away from first, in a very close finish by Jackson, Notre Dame and PB.

Soccer beat Saxony Lutheran, 3-2 in double overtime.

Because of Parent/Teacher Conferences at Sikeston next Monday, October 15, Sikeston has canceled the 9th Grade and JV Football Games scheduled for that night. They will not be rescheduled.

Oct. 6

In the Springfield Kickapoo Tournament: Soccer lost to Waynesville, 0-3. They beat Sacred Heart in their afternoon match, 2-1.

Varsity Volleyball faced some stiff competition in the Lebanon Tournament and went 0-4.
JV Volleyball finished second in “pool play” with a 2-1 record. They lost in the first round of the Tournament to Lebanon.

In Band Competition at Springfield Parkview, The Sho-Me Band finished 9th out of 33 Bands.

2012 Class 4, District 1 Softball Tournament – I have attached the bracket for the 2012 Class 4, District 1 Softball Tournament. The Mules open play on Wednesday, October 3 at 4:30pm versus Sikeston. The “host” school for the Tournament is Jackson.

2012 Class 2, District 1 Tennis Tournament - I have attached the bracket for the 2012 Class 2, District 1 Tennis Tournament. The Mules open play on Tuesday, October 2 at 9:00am versus Oakville. The “host” school is Cape Central, with matches being played on the SEMO Courts (directions are attached).

The Sho-Me Marching Band

The Sho-Me Marching Band was in competition at Farmington and placed Second in the Class 5A/6A Division. They also won the Outstanding Visual Ensemble Trophy.  The Band was only one point out of 100 from placing First. They faced stiff competition from some larger Bands out of St. Louis. CONGRATULATIONS!

Sept. 22

Varsity Cross Country at the Hancock Invitational in Jefferson Barracks:
The one medalist was Isaiah Williams- 29th with a time of 17:25.
The Boys Varsity placed 11/23 Schools, some of which are the BEST in the State.
Bailey Davidson- 35th with a time of 17:35.
Luke Pelton- 60th with a time of 18:06.
Jacob Smith- 80th with a time of 18:38.
Mark Keena- 103rd with a time of 18:59.
All the boys who scored points dropped between 30 seconds to 1 minute from their previous years time at the same meet.

The Girls Cross Country Team finished 16/19 Schools.
Allison Huskey- 21:43, 50th.
Cassidy Harris- 22:50, 84th. She dropped 4 minutes off her time from last year.
Emma Cooper- 23:00, 88th. She dropped 2 minutes off her time from last year.
Zakia Hickman- 23:36, 104th.
Ally Brooks- 26:02, 126th.

Varsity Soccer at the Capital City Invitational in Jefferson City:
Lost to Jefferson City, 0-6.
Lost to North Kansas City, 1-3.

Varsity Volleyball at the Quad State Tournament in Paducah, KY:
Weekend record was 3-3, finishing eighth out of thirty teams. Their overall record is now 15-5.

JV Softball at the Lady Dawg JV Tournament in Van Buren:
Lost to East Carter, 4-9.
Beat Alton, 6-3.
Beat Twin Rivers, 6-2.
They finished the Tournament in Third Place.

Sept. 20

THE MULE TRAIN ROLLED THROUGH CAPE GIRARDEAU!
Varsity Softball beat the Tigers, 6-1.
JV Softball also won, 7-6.
Varsity Tennis beat the Tigers, 5-4.
JV Tennis also won, 7-1.

In Jackson, 7th Grade Football lost to the Indians, 8-18. 8th Grade Football won, 20-16.

In Sikeston, Soccer lost, 0-3.
