We are happy to announce that Butler County Health Department will be coming to our school this spring to offer a free immunization clinic. State law and health regulations require students to be properly immunized and provide verification to attend school, unless they are exempt. Below you will find the requirements for students entering 8th grand and 12th grade. Your child must
have these immunizations before school starts in the fall to be able to attend.
Requirements for incoming 8th graders:
1. TDaP vaccination (Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertussis).
2. One dose of MCV (Meningococcal) is required.
Requirements for incoming 12th graders:
1. Two doses of MCV (Meningococcal) are required for all incoming 12th graders
unless the first dose was given after their 16th birthday in which case only one
dose is required.
If you are interested in your child receiving the immunizations at school, please have them pick up a packet in the nurse's office or print it from the "forms" section as soon as possible. You will need to have the forms signed and returned by April 28th. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or your child's school nurse. If you choose to take your child to get their immunizations at a later date, please make sure you give a copy of the updated shot record to the school before school starts. Thank you very much!
