Kindergarten Center Enrollment begins February 8 for 2016-2017 school year

Kindergarten enrollment for the 2016-2017 school year begins on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Poplar Bluff Kindergarten Center, 1200 Camp Road. Enrollment will also be held Feb. 9-11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointments are necessary. (more…)

Lake Road January newsletter offers tips for reading success

The top three activities to do at home with your child that will lead to reading success are:

  1. Talk often with your child to build listening and speaking skills.
  2. Read to and with your child often. Talk to him/her about the words and ideas in books. Encourage your child to read on his/her own.
  3. Ask your child’s teacher how you can help your child practice at home what he/she is learning at school.
