A Safer and More Focused Learning Environment
Poplar Bluff Schools is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. To achieve this goal, we are implementing two key initiatives: the Yondr pouch program and OPENGATE weapons detection systems.
The Yondr pouch program is designed to minimize classroom distractions and promote student engagement. By securely storing cell phones and other electronic devices during the school day, we aim to create a more focused and productive learning atmosphere. For more information and answers to common questions about Yondr, please refer to our
Phone-Free Spaces FAQ page.
In addition to the Yondr pouch program, we are installing OPENGATE weapons detection systems at Poplar Bluff High School, Junior High, and Mark Twain Alternative School. These systems will enhance school security and provide an extra layer of protection for our students and staff. To learn more about this initiative, including answers to frequently asked questions, please visit our
Weapons Detection Systems FAQ page.
We believe that these initiatives will contribute to a safer, more focused, and more positive learning experience for all.
