Superintendent's Message

Dr. Scott DillI welcome you to the 2021/22 school year with great enthusiasm and admittedly no small amount of trepidation. As I write these words, we are in the interregnum between summer school sessions in early July. Nevertheless, we have been hard at work preparing for the next session and the commencement of the upcoming school year.

As I enter into this season, my 25th as a proud professional educator, I feel as though I have learned as much about learning, teaching, and leadership in the last year as I did in the previous 24 years combined. We must now, collectively, apply the lessons learned to ensure we maintain continuity of instruction for our students. Please make no mistake; we are still very much in the midst of a health crisis. However, this time we are better prepared by virtue of our previous experiences. We will do what we need to do to keep our schools open safely and our students engaged in the learning process.

Our work has always been a vital part of the very bedrock of our great country. Last year proved that we are capable beyond our imagining and more robust than we could have ever conceived. As a result, this year presents a unique opportunity to advance the primary mission of the district to improve the lives of our students through learning. We will leverage every resource at our disposal to ensure that we, as professional educators, give every student the best possible situation to excel and achieve at the highest levels.

We enter into this good and important work with hearts full of love and hope. We commence this year with clarity of purpose and a complete understanding of the importance to every child, every hour, every day.

I am honored to serve as your Superintendent. I will endeavor daily to be worthy of the trust and the responsibility extended to me. I will give each of you the fullest measure of whatever time and talent my creator has graced me with in this life.
