Data Governance


The Poplar Bluff School District takes every precaution possible to ensure that our data and information systems are protected from accidental or intentional misuse, modification, destruction or disclosure.  Data and information security is a constant priority and a responsibility that we all take seriously.  To accomplish the District's charge of Achieving Excellence Through Learning, there are instances that require the District to collect, create and store confidential student, parent, faculty and staff information.  These records are collected and stored only as required and the District takes every precaution to ensure that the data we store and process remains confidential.

To comply with regulations and meet the demands of an increased awareness in data security, the Board of Education has adopted Policy 5710 and Regulation 5710 which outline and define the measures the District takes to ensure that our data and information systems are controlled and protected.
