Dear Families,
We are excited to announce that we have adopted a new form of school-to-home
communication at Poplar Bluff School District called ParentSquare.
ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent using the email
address and phone number provided in our student records. We encourage parents
to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their
preferences on when and how they are notified.
This unified communications platform replaces Remind and is designed to keep
parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection
with the Poplar Bluff School District. It provides a safe way for district
administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to:
- Send and receive school and class information
- Share pictures and files
- See calendar items
- Sign up to volunteer
- Schedule parent-teacher conferences
- Access many more features, all in one centralized place
District, school, and classroom information will be sent to your computer or phone
via email and/or text. For even more convenience, download the free ParentSquare app on iOS and Android devices.

How ClassDojo Fits In
While ParentSquare is our official, districtwide communication tool,
some elementary teachers may also use ClassDojo to support
classroom management and engagement.
ClassDojo is used only at the classroom level and is intended to help students
understand expectations through positive feedback. Teachers may use ClassDojo for:
- Tracking student points for positive behavior
- Sharing classroom celebrations or photos
- Messaging with parents of that specific class
Important to Know
- ClassDojo is optional and may vary from teacher to teacher.
- It does not replace ParentSquare for important school or district communication.

Information such as attendance, grades, district alerts, and major updates
will always be sent through ParentSquare.
ParentSquare should remain the first place you check for school communication.
